Art and Business

The Baltimore Business Journal devoted the cover of its last print edition to Baltimore's Arts and Entertainment Districts . The headline read: Arts organizations get creative in attracting new patrons.

If Business papers take notice it is a sure sign that it has become a main stream insight that art and culture [districts] "add value", that they help revitalize and attract new residents.

Station North in Baltimore has become a poster child for turning a very rough and scrabble area into a district that draws people and has a wide range of interesting offerings without short chnaging residents or businesses that have been there before.

See here a reference to Ben Stone, executive director of  the Station North A&E District.
